Kawasoti, June 3
A child died after a storm hit Nawalpur district in Gandaki province on Sunday evening.
The victim has been identified as Anjali Yadav, 10, a daughter of Lalan Yadav, Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-7 of the district, according to SI Krishna Shah of the Triveni Area Police Office.
She was hit by a zinc sheet that the wind blew away from the roof of a local house. The girl died on the spot.
Meanwhile, some persons have sustained injuries in the incident. SI Shah says the storm caused damages of different degrees to 80 households of wards 6 and 7.
A temporary police post established to monitor the CCTV surveillance at Triveni Barrage on Nepal-India border was also damaged.
