Sankhuwasabha, January 14
At least five persons died when a jeep met with an accident in Makalu Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasbha district.
The victims also include the chairperson of Rural Municipality, Khadga Katuwal.
The four-wheeler (Ba 5 Cha 1319) had fell off the road near Gadhibazaar today.
Katuwal was elected the chief of local government in the local level elections last year.
While one of the victims has been identified as Suresh Rai, other victims are yet to be identified.
Rescue operation is underway.
