Nepal won the first gold medal in the 13th South Asian Games currently underway in Kathmandu and Pokhara of Nepal on Monday. Mandekaji Shrestha won the gold medal for Nepal in the male individual kata category of karate.
He defeated a Pakistani player by scoring 25.72 points against 24.92.
Also today, Nepal’s Chanchala Danuwar won a silver medal.
