Nepal wins first medal in 13th SAG

Kathmandu, December 2

Nepal has won its first medal of the 13th South Asian Games on Monday. Chanchala Danuwar, a female individual karate kata player, won the silver medal by losing the final event of the category.

Danuwar scored 24.62 points in the event whereas Pakistan’s Shaida scored 25.28 to win the gold medal. Sri Lanka won the bronze medal.

Today, nine gold medals of karate will be decided. The karate matches will continue till Wednesday.
