Kathmandu, September 16

Following up on the September 6 murder of six members of the same family in the Madi municipality of the Sankhuwasabha district in eastern Nepal, police have arrested the second suspect.

Naresh Karki has been arrested recently in connection with the case, informs Arun BC, the chief of the Province 1 Police Office. His elder brother, Lok Bahadur Karki, has already been arrested and identified as the mastermind of the case. Lok Bahadur, reportedly, has also confessed to the crime.

Preliminary investigations have suggested Naresh took away and hid the mobile phone of one of the victims so as to cover the evidence from the police.

The Chainpur Area Police Office in the district is looking into the case further, according to BC.
