Sajha Yatayat adds new routes in valley

Kathmandu, July 1

Sajha Yatayat has added 20 news buses to its fleet. The buses were purchased in coordination with Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities.

With the arrival of new buses, the cooperative has launched its service on some new routes. The new buses will go to Bungamati of Lalitpur, Thankot and Dakshinkali of Kathmandu and Kamal Binayak of Bhaktapur.

There are total 71 Sajha buses plying the valley roads.

Kathmandu and Lalitpur municipal governments had invested Rs 50 million and Rs 10 million respectively to purchase the buses.

The new buses are of Euro 4 standard and are friendly to the disabled, according to the cooperative. Wheelchair users can take their wheelchairs inside the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Sajha Yatayat says it will soon introduce electric buses  in the valley soon. Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities will extend their support for the electric buses too.
