Sajha Yatayat adding 20 city buses to its Kathmandu fleet

Kathmandu, October 5

The Sajha Yatayat is planning to add 20 city buses to its fleet operating in Kathmandu Valley in cooperation and coordination with Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities.

The KMC and the LMC have provided Rs 50 million and Rs 10 million respectively to the company to buy the new buses.

With this money, the Sajha will buy some additional deluxe buses to operate in various routes outside the Valley. One more semi-floor bus will provide service to Kathmandu passengers.

The company has informed that the new buses will be disabled-friendly and wheelchair users can get on and off easily.

The company will call for tenders for the purchase within a few days and new routes will be decided in consultation with the metropolitan cities, informs Sajha’s Chief Executive Officer Mahendra Bahadur Pandey.
