Rescuers recover 17 bodies from Tara Air crash site 

Kathmandu, February 24

The rescue team comprising security personnel and locals has recovered bodies of 17 of the 23 people, who were on board the Tara Air plane that crashed at Solighopte, Myagdi, on Wednesday.

Security personnel fear that all on board the flight have died. Narendra Kumar Singh, Armed Police Force DIG, said: I am still at Pokhara airport. Due to bad weather, a chopper cannot land at the crash site.

Constable Chandra Lal Rawal told Onlinekhabar from the site that it is likely to rain.

An 18-member Nepal Police team is at the site, while an APF team is on the way. The team of Nepali Army has returned, anticipating snowfall. Rawal said: We have not been able to collect other bodies. It’s a precipice and quite dark too.”
