Kathmandu, February 25
Unexpected change in weather at a treacherous terrain may be behind the air disaster involving the plane with the call sign 9N-AHH, Tara Air said in a statement on Thursday, a day after the plane with 23 people — 20 passengers and three crew — crashed at Tirkhe Dhunga, Dana VDC (Myagdi), killing all on board.
The government has formed a committee to investigate the crash involving a modern plane built on August 13, 2015.

Tara Air said it had brought in a brand new plane, adding that the plane had clocked 270 hours at the time of the disaster. The airlines has described the loss of Roshan Manandhar (54), a pilot with 25 years of experience and flight time of 18,500 hours, Co-pilot Dikesh Nemkul (30), with 400 hours of flight time, and Air Hostess Ram Raut (24) with four years of experience in the job, as irreparable.
The Tara Air plane had left Pokhara for Jomsom at 7.57 am and crashed at Tirkhe Dhunga about 10 minutes later, killing all 23 on board.
The airlines has condoled the deaths.
