Realme GT 2 Pro has a glass front and an aluminium frame build. The phone comes with two back panel options. The user can choose between a glass back or a lighter biopolymer build-back. Realme claims that this is the first smartphone rear panel in the world, which is made from an ISCC-certified biopolymer. Meanwhile, the glass panel on the steel black edition employs a new AG glass chemical etching technique, which creates a more frosted look. The back panel of the phone houses a rectangular-shaped camera panel. Meanwhile, the Realme branding is right next to the camera panel and features the signature of Naoto Fukasawa, giving an appealing look.

Realme has also redesigned its packaging for this phone. With completely redesigned packaging, Realme claims that plastic use has been reduced from 21.7% to just 0.3%. Similarly, 100% of printing on the packaging uses soy oil ink-an environmentally-responsible option made from a renewable resource. Realme GT 2 Pro is 8.20 mm thick and weighs 199 grams (steel black edition) or 189 grams (paper white/paper green edition).

On the front is a 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440*3,216 pixels and 526 PPI density. Much has been marketed about the display of this phone as Realme claims this is the world’s first 2K AMOLED flat display with LTPO. Similarly, the display also supports an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz while featuring an instant touch sampling rate of 1000Hz, which is probably the highest on a smartphone. Also, daylight use of the phone should not be of any problem as it can achieve a peak brightness of up to 1400 nits.

The HDR10+ certified display also has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and 92.6% screen-to-body ratio. The viewing experience on the display of this phone should be splendid. Furthermore, it has an optical under-display fingerprint sensor and has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Cameras

Cameras are one of the major priorities of Realme GT 2 Pro. With a single camera sensor on the front, there is a triple camera setup on the back. The main 50MP Sony IMX766 camera sensor on the back is accompanied by a 3MP microscope and another 50MP, 150 degrees FOV ultrawide camera sensor. This is the first smartphone camera to have a 150-degree FOV. Similarly, the main sensor comes with dual stabilisation, enhanced with AI Noise Reduction Engine 3.0, for clearer sharper images, even in low light. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera sensor.

Camera features on Realme GT 2 Pro

The photography modes on the phone include 50MP mode, street photography mode, super nightscape, panoramic view, bokeh, HDR, 150° ultra-wide-angle, fish-eye mode, AI scene recognition, AI beauty, filters, expert, text scanner, portrait distortion correction, tilt-shift, starry mode, dynamic bokeh portrait, bokeh flare portrait, microscope and 3D photo. The 3D photo mode can be an interesting feature for the users.

For the video recording, the main camera of Realme GT 2 Pro can record videos in up to 8K resolution at 24fps and 4K resolution videos up to 60fps. Surprisingly, the front camera can only record videos in 1080p resolution. Similarly, there are also lots of upgrades on videography. There are features like AI nightscape videos for brighter videos in super low light conditions, dual stabilisation for steady videos and bokeh flare mode for portrait videos.
