Realme C30s in Nepal: A budget phone with no new features except faster touch response

Realme C30s, a budget smartphone from Realme, has been officially released in Nepal. This is one of the many launches in Realme’s C series smartphone and a newer version of the already launched Realme C30.

Realme C30s only offers minimalistic features. It has a standard-size display offering HD resolution with a good touch response. It has a moderate processor, which should be good enough for it to perform the regular task. The camera setup on it is also minimal, while the battery backup is similar to the other phones in this price category.

Realme C30s comes with a glass front, plastic back and a plastic frame build. The company has marketed that the back panel of it has quadruple anti-slip micro-stripe that are finely carved in layers of micro-level to achieve quadruple grip stability of the anti-slip effect. The back panel also houses a single large camera sensor in a square-shaped camera module just like in the Realme C30. Furthermore, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on it for biometrics.

It measures 8.50mm in thickness and weighs around 186 grams. It is available in stripe blue and stripe black colour options.

On the front is a 6.50-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720*1,650 pixels with 270 PPI density. The display covers 88.7 per cent of the body, which gives a good view of the media. Similarly, the display also supports a 120Hz touch sampling rate, which makes the touch response faster on it.

Realme C30s only offers an average camera setup. It has an 8MP primary camera on the rear end and a 5MP selfie shooter on the front. The camera modes on it include beauty, filter, HDR, panoramic view, portrait, timelapse, expert and super night.

Similarly, the primary camera on it can record videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps, while the front camera is limited to 720p resolution only.

Realme C30s runs on Realme UI Go based on Android 12. It is powered by Unisoc SC9863A chipset while the graphical duties are handled by IMG8332.

It is available with 2GB and 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively. There is also a dedicated memory card slot on it, which can be used for the expansion of storage.

Battery life, connectivity and others

Realme C30s comes with a 5,000mAh battery backup, which is a standard power for smartphones in this price range. The battery can be charged with a 10W charger. Similarly, it also has an ultra-saving mode, which, when enabled, will provide extensive use time to the users by optimising the apps even when the battery is as low as five per cent.

It supports dual sims with up to 4G network connectivity. The slower Bluetooth 4.2 is available on it for wireless pairing and data transfer and also a micro USB cable is used for charging. For audio, it has a speaker and also a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The price of Realme C30s is Rs 13,499 for 2/32GB and Rs 15,999 for 4/64GB variants. If you are looking for a smartphone under Rs 20,000 this can be an option.
