Kathmandu, August 26
The death toll from the devastating floods in Rasuwa’s Bhote Koshi River has reached 95, according to the latest data provided by Nepal Police.
The recovered bodies include 27 women, 37 men, six girls, five boys and 20 people whose identities have yet to be established.
Of the 95 bodies, one man was found in Rasuwa, while 11 — five women and six men — were recovered in Nuwakot.
Dhading has reported 18 bodies, including 11 women, five men and two unidentified people.
In Gorkha, police have recovered the bodies of one woman, four men, one boy and 10 unidentified people.
In Chitwan, 33 bodies have been recovered, including 10 women, 10 men, two girls, three boys and eight unidentified people.
Police said five bodies — three men, one girl and one boy — were found in Tanahun, while 11 bodies, including eight men and three girls, were recovered in Nawalparasi East.
63 injured receiving treatment
According to Nepal Police, 63 people injured in the floods have been rescued and are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals.
They include 21 patients at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, seven at the National Trauma Centre, one at Birendra Hospital in Chhauni, 21 at Rasuwa Hospital and 16 at Trishuli Hospital.
Three injured people are being treated at Norvic Hospital and one at Green City Hospital.
28 police personnel missing
Nepal Police said 28 police personnel deployed in the affected areas remain out of contact.
They include 10 from Timure, eight from Rasuwagadhi, three from Syafrubesi, five from Mailung, one from Betrawati and one from Haku.
