Public post holders urged to submit property details on time

Kathmandu, July 17

The National Vigilance Centre has urged individuals holding public posts to submit the personal property details on time.

According to Centre’s information officer, Dalnath Aryal, those people have been requested to submit the property details to the fixed stations within next 60 days, beginning Wednesday, the first day of current fiscal year.

The request has been made as per the Clause 50 of Corruption Prevention Act, 2002.

It is applied to civil servants, government employees, teachers and security personnel.

The Centre will receive the details through fixed channels. Details collected by the district coordination committees and local governments will be sent to the Centre through the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in the respective province.

As per the law, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority shall fine up to Rs 5,000 to the persons failing to submit property details on time.
