Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut has accused the federal government of making the process of creating an industry-conducive environment more difficult.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the International Labour Organisation in Janakpur of Dhanusha district on Wednesday, Raut complained that the federal government did not prepare laws needed to promote industrialisation in the federal setup on time.
He was of the view that the provincial government could not speed up its initiatives for industrialisation thanks to the ignorance of federal government. “The provincial government has introduced policies of tax exemption for 20 years for those who invest in the province and manage land for them,” he said, “But, ministers of the federal government had tried to interfere in our jurisdiction on various pretexts.”
Citing the country could not develop without the development of industries, he said his government was committed to providing security to the investment.
Raut added that his government had introduced a plan to motivate young people start their own businesses instead of relying on foreign employment.
