Biratnagar, January 19
Province 1 Chief Minister Sher Dhan Rai has expanded the provincial council of ministers. Chief Minister Rai appointed four leaders as state ministers in his Cabinet.
The newly appointed ministers are Ambir Gurung from Okhaldhunga, Ram Bahadur Magar from Ilam, Jasmaya Gajamer from Jhapa and Bijaya Kumar Bishwas from Morang. They will be stationed at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure; the Ministry of Land, Agriculture and Cooperative; the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Tourism respectively.
The provincial government has seven ministries. The two ministries–of Physical Infrastructure and of Land, Agriculture and Cooperative–do not have ministers.
The newly appointed state ministers took the oath of office and secrecy from the Chief Minister Rai today.
