Kathmandu, August 25
The dispute between the Nepali Congress’ establishment (Sher Bahadur Deuba) faction and Ram Chandra Poudel over ministerial berths has ended.
With this, the NC is preparing to send its list of ministers as part of the second phase of Prachanda Cabinet expansion.
A source close to Poudel said party President Deuba has agreed to give the Poudel camp five ministerial berths. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi had assigned Poudel the task of holding talks with Poudel over ministerial portfolios.
NC leader Navindra Raj Joshi said: We have received information that there has been an understanding on giving five ministries to the Poudel camp.
