Kathmandu, August 14
CPN-Maoist Centre has finalised the names of four state ministers that will join the Prachanda-led government comprising the Centre and the Nepali C0ngress. This comes shortly after the government formed under Maoist Chair Prachanda picked five more ministers in the Cabinet that has Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara as deputy prime minister and minister for finance, Dal Jit Sripaili as Youth and Sports Minister and Gauri Shankar Tharu as Agriculture Minister.
Sri Prasad Jabegu, Satya Narayan Bhagat, Radhika Tamang and Dhana Maya BK will join the Prachanda Cabinet as state ministers.
Jabegu has got the Ministry of Local Development, whereas Bhagat, Tamang and BK have got Energy, Agriculture and Education Ministry portfolios. It the Congress stakes claim on the Education portfolio, BK will be in the Health Ministry.
Busy with the general convention of its sister wing, Nepal Students’ Union, Nepali Congress is yet to send another list of ministers that will represent the party in the government in which NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi is Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.
