Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will go on an India visit in the last week of August, says a source close to him.

Officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are holding talks with their Indian counterparts to fix an appropriate date, says the source.

It will be Deuba’s first official foreign visit after he took over in the first week of June.

The officials are planning to make the visit three-day long. They are also busy fixing agendas for bilateral meetings and agreements.

Earlier, Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara had visited India and it was also taken as a preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit.
