PM Dahal ensures regular Melamchi water supply for Kathmandu

Kathmandu, January 15

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has assured the people of Kathmandu that Melamchi water will be provided regularly.

Prime Minister Dahal, while launching the redistribution of Melamchi water inside Singha Durbar on January 15, stated that drinking water would be supplied to the people of the Kathmandu Valley safely and sustainably.

He mentioned that, for this purpose, the second phase of the Yangri and Larke river diversion would also be carried forward with a definite action plan.

“The government of Nepal is committed to providing a safe and sustainable drinking water service to the growing population of the Kathmandu Valley,” Prime Minister Dahal said.

During the programme, Prime Minister Dahal informed that a detailed study and a solid action plan would be developed to address the long-term problems of the project. The reconstruction of the project will be implemented, and the current alternative system will also operate throughout all twelve months.
