Kathmandu, May 17
Among 10 municipalities of Kathmandu district other than the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the Nepali Congress is leading in six local units.
As of Wednesday noon, the Congress is ahead of CPN-UML in Kageshwori Manahara, Gokarneshwor, Tokha, Tarakeshwor, Nagarjun and Chandragiri.
Likewise, the UML is leading in rest of the municipalities, namely Budhanilakantha, Shankarapur, Dakshinkali and Kirtipur.
All the municipalities are counting the voting at a snail’s pace as of the KMC.
Meanwhile, the counting has been halted in Budhanilakantha after the Nepalil Congress complained that more votes were found than the number of voters.
Voting was halted in Kirtipur as well due to an intra-party dispute, but has already resumed from this morning.
