The announcement of Dhangadhi Premier League in Kathmandu, on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

Kathmandu, January 4

The second edition of Dhangadhi Premier League will begin on March 31 and conclude on April 14, the organiser says.

Dhangadhi Cricket Academy announced in Kathmandu today that the tournament would be delayed by around two months than the time scheduled earlier as national cricketers would be busy in the ICC World Cricket League Division Two to be held in February in Namibia.

The organiser says players for the tournament will be selected from an auction to be held on February 17. Players have been called to register their names from today till February 8.

It has been informed that players of three categories–defined on the basis of their experience–will participate in the event and each franchise club has to include players from each category.

The winning team will get a cash prize of Rs 2.5 million whereas the first, second and third runners-up will get Rs 1 million, Rs 300,000 and Rs 200,000 respectively.

In the first edition of the tournament last year, the winners were provided with Rs 1.5 million.

Each man of the match will get Rs 10,000 cash prize whereas the man of the series will get a motorbike.
