Kathmandu, November 26

The Nepali Congress has been accused of trying to capture a voting booth in Japhe of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality in Dolakha district while the voting was underway there on Sunday morning.

It has been said that a group left by Congress’ student leader Kundan Kafle attempted the booth capture.

Police deployed at the centre have sought the support from more personnel to contain the situation. The group is pelting stones at the security personnel, it has been reported.

Voting was briefly halted at this centre during the local level elections in May after a group tried to capture the booth.
