Nepal Covid-19 tally: 8,777 PCR and 73 antigen cases added in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 9

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 394,667 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 8,777 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 18,784 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 634,504 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 506 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 73 were found infected.

As of today, 88,160 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 4,022 people have achieved recovery whereas 88 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 302,787 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,720 died, according to the ministry.

Over 400 are quarantined across the country.
