Nepal Covid-19 tally: 341 new cases, 376 recoveries, 3 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, December 13

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 920,345 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry said 341 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,416 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 313 returned positive. Likewise, 2,820 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 28 tested positive.

Of total tests, 3.004 per cent of the PCR and 0.99 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 2.57 per cent.

As of today, there are 5,824 active cases across the country. Of them, 316 are hospitalised, 126 in intensive care units and 33 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 376 people have achieved recovery whereas three deaths were reported.

Of the total cases so far, 807,154 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,557 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.9 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 187,664 people were vaccinated today.
