NCP discussing statute amendment, border dispute in its standing committee meeting

Kathmandu, December 15

The ruling Nepal Communist Party is discussing five issues during its standing committee meeting scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon.

A meeting of the party’s secretariat held this morning finalised the agenda, according to the party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

During the meeting, the party’s executive chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal will table a political report. Likewise, the party will discuss amending the party statute and solving the recent Nepal-India border dispute.

The party’s chairman, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, did not stay in the meeting till it was over in the morning today due to health reasons. It is not sure if he will attend the standing committee meeting, expected to begin at 1 pm at the party headquarters, Dhumbarahi.
