Maoist Centre finalises National Assembly poll candidates’ list

Kathmandu, January 23

The CPN-Maoist Centre on Tuesday finalised the list of party’s candidates for National Assembly elections scheduled for February 7.

The party’s top three leaders–Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Ram Bahadur Thapa–finalised the list.

The party is partnering with the CPN-UML in the polls and contesting for 14 positions only. Of them, 13 candidates have been finalised today, according to the party.

Thapa himself is contesting from Province 3 under the open category. Likewise, former minister Dinanath Sharma will contest the polls from Province 4 under the open category.

Other candidates are Bina Pokharel (Province 1); Shahi Kala Dahal (Province 2); Ganga Parajuli (Province 3); Khim Kumar BK (Province 4); Raj Kumar Kunwar and Chandra Bahadur Khadka (Province 5); Jeevan Budha, Yutul Lama and Kali Bahadur Malla (Province 6); and Laliram Lohar and Hariram Chaudhary (Province 7).
