Manchester’s lord mayor to encourage Britishers to visit Nepal

The Lord Mayor of Manchester City in Britain, Abid Latif Chohan, has said he will encourage Britishers including people of his city to visit Nepal.

When the Nepali Embassy in London organised an event in his city on the occasion of Nepal’s Republic Day last week, the official said he would help Nepal make the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.

Chohan highlighted that the two counties had cordial relations for past 203 years and added that ties between the people’s would help their culture and art expand further.

On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to the UK, Durga Bahadur Chhetri, appealed to Britishers and Nepalis living in the UK to visit Nepal in 2020 so that the government target to welcome two million tourists would  be achieved.

He said Nepal had a favourable environment for investment also.
