Kathmandu, December 24
A day after a college student was killed in a bus accident, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a vehicle in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Police say Arjun Kumar KC, a native of Thulepokhari rural municipality-4 of Parvat district, currently residing in Thankot of Kathmandu, died after being hit by a yet-to-be-identified vehicle in Gurjudhara, Chandragiri municipality-12 of the capital this morning. He was riding a motorbike (Province 3 02 009 Pa 7621) to drop his son to school.
The child sustained some injuries and is undergoing treatment at Om Samaj Hospital.
DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, says the police are studying CCTV footage collected from the road to identify the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the victim’s kin and other locals staged a project demanding action against the driver. They have refused to collect the body for the funeral until the demand is met.
