Traffic movement has resumed along Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan that was blocked by a landslide in the wee hours of Thursday.

District Traffic Police Office says police personnel successfully cleared the landslide debris and reopened the road at around 11:30 am.

A landslide at Chorkilo along Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan has blocked the road that connects Kathmandu with the East-West Highway, on Thursday morning.

The District Traffic Police Office says the landslide occurred at around 4:30 am today blocked the road at Charkilo of Ichchhakamana rural municipality of the district. DSP Surya Thapa, the District Police Office Spokesperson, says efforts are underway to remove the landslide debris and resume the traffic movement.

As the long-route transportation has resumed after around six months just on Thursday, hundreds of passengers have been stuck halfway due to the landslide.

The road frequently gets obstructed due to landslides. The road has experienced over one dozen landslides just in the past week.
