Sarlahi, November 4
A non-gazetted second-class officer at the Land Administration Office (Land Revenue Office) in Sarlahi has been arrested with Rs 100,000 in bribe money.
A team deployed from the Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in Bardibas arrested Nirmal Timilsina, who works in the administration section of the Land Revenue Office, at around 10 am on Wednesday.
According to the CIAA, Timilsina had taken a bribe from a service recipient in exchange for facilitating land-related work concerning tenancy rights.
Shree Prakash Pokharel, information officer at the CIAA’s Bardibas office, confirmed the arrest and said further investigation into the case was underway.
