Dhangadhi, August 20
A member of a school management committee has been arrested in Kailali while accepting a bribe of Rs 200,000.
The person arrested is Dev Bahadur Bam, a member of the management committee of Kalika Secondary School in Gaurigunga Municipality-4.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) office in Mahendranagar said a team it had deployed caught Bam red-handed with the bribe money on Thursday.
According to Mahendranagar CIAA information officer Chetraj Bhatta, Bam had collected the money after luring a school staff member with the promise of increasing their salary.
The CIAA said Bam has been taken into custody for further questioning and investigation.
