
Kathmandu, May 27
Renowned mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa reached the summit of Mt Everest for a record 31st time on Tuesday morning, breaking his own previous record.
The 55-year-old climber reached the top of the world’s highest peak at 4 am, according to the Nepal Tourism Board. Last year, Sherpa had summited Everest for the 29th and 30th times.
Born in Thame village of Solukhumbu, Sherpa works as a professional mountain guide.
