Kathmandu, September 17
A team of five senior Israeli doctors conducted various workshops for the doctors of Dhulikhel Hospital and Siddhi Memorial Foundation for one week recently, exposing them to new life-saving technologies in the fields of paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology.
Doctors from Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Centre worked with Nepali doctors from September 9 to 16 and shared their expertise, conducted workshops with the doctors and staffs of Dhulikhel Hospital and SMF, according to the Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu.
The team also donated some medical equipment to the hospitals and discussed future collaborations.
The embassy hosted an event in Kathmandu on Monday evening to announce the wrapping up of the mission. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav, Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Benny Omer and Kathmandu University Vice-Chancellor Ram Kantha Makaju among others spoke on the occasion.
Diplomats, bureaucrats, and dignitaries from various sectors attended the event.
