Design and display
Infinix Hot 12 flaunts a similar styling seen on the Hot 12 Play with some tweaks on the camera setup. The phone comes with a standard build of a glass front, plastic back and a plastic frame. The back panel houses a familiar-looking rectangular camera panel including camera sensors and an LED flash. Similarly, Infinix branding at the left bottom of the phone has been done neatly. Unlike the Hot 12 Play, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The phone is 8.30mm thick and weighs around 195 grams. It is available in racing black, legend white, origin blue and lucky green colour options.
A big 6.80-inch IPS LCD display on the front offers a resolution of 720*1,612 pixels and 259 PPI density. A camera sensor resides in the centre punch hole of the display. Furthermore, the display supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, making the phone smooth and allowing for a better touch response.
Infinix Hot 12 has a sub-par triple camera setup. There is a 13MP main camera sensor on the back that has an autofocus feature. The main camera is accompanied by a 2MP and another AI camera sensor. On the front is an 8MP camera sensor. The cameras on the phone are accompanied by a dual flash on both ends. This can be great for low lights and night shoots.
Both the front and back cameras can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps.
Performance and storage
At the moment, the phone is only available in a single variant. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The advantage of having 6GB RAM is the user has the option of further expanding the RAM memory by up to 5GB. The phone also has a dedicated microSD card slot and the user can expand the memory up to 512GB through it.
Battery life, connectivity and others
Infinix Hot 12 gets its power from a 5,000mAh non-removable lipo battery. The company has marketed that this power will provide:
- Up to 13 hours of gaming
- Up to 144 hours of music
- Up to 35 hours of calls
- Up to 45 hours of standby time
The battery can be charged with an 18W fast charger. The phone also has a power marathon mode. By enabling this mode, the user should be able to increase or save up to 25% of battery life. The user will also have access to eight main battery-preserving settings, which can be customisable according to the user’s need.
The phone supports dual sims with 4G network connectivity. The support of dual-band wifi enables the phone to choose the best option available. Similarly, the phone also supports Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio. For the audio, the phone has dual speakers and also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The price of Infinix Hot 12 is Rs 21,999 for the 6/128GB variant.
