Samsung Galaxy A04s has been officially released in Nepal. This is one of the many smartphones launched by Samsung in the Galaxy A series this year. It is also the successor of last year’s Samsung Galaxy A03s.
Samsung Galaxy A04s is a budget offering from the company. There are no huge improvements from the last year’s model, but there are some subtle changes on the phone. The new model offers a new design, a better and higher resolution camera, the latest OS and a more power-efficient chipset. The battery power on the phone remains the same and also uses a similar charger to the models before. The prices have changed by Rs Rs 4,500 and Rs 5,000 respectively.

Design and display
Samsung Galaxy A04s comes with a refined design, which looks way better than its predecessor. It has a glass front, plastic back and a plastic frame build. The back of the phone houses three camera sensors on the body itself instead of having a separate camera module. Similarly, the flat design of the phone gives it a better look. The fingerprint sensor lies on the side of the phone, which also works as the power button.
Samsung Galaxy A04s is 9.1mm thick and weighs around 195 grams. It is available in black, green, white and copper colour options.
On the front of the Samsung Galaxy A04s is a 6.50-inch LCD display, which offers a resolution of 720*1,600 pixels and 270PPI density. Well, this may not be a great display, but it is a decent one in this price range. The display also supports a 90Hz refresh rate, an improvement from the last time.
Samsung Galaxy A04s comes with a triple camera setup on the back and a single selfie shooter on the front. The primary 50MP camera on the back is accompanied by a couple of basic 2MP depth and macro sensors. On the front is a mere 5MP selfie camera. Also, the main camera can record up to 1080p resolution videos.
Performance and storage
Samsung Galaxy A04s runs on One UI Core 4 based on Android 12. The phone is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 850 (8nm) chipset and the graphics are handled by Mali-G52. This is definitely an upgrade from last year’s Mediatek chipset and should be more power-efficient as well.
The phone is only available in a 4GB RAM variant at the moment, but there are two internal storage options. The user can choose between 64GB and 128GB models. There is also a dedicated micro SD card slot on the phone in case the user wants to expand the memory.
Battery life, connectivity and others
Samsung Galaxy A04s has the same 5,000mAh battery backup. As marketed, this power is enough to provide:
- Up to 21 hours of LTE internet usage
- Up to 21 hours of wifi internet usage
- Up to 22 hours of video playback time
- Up to 90 hours of audio playback time
- Up to 54 hours of 4G LTE talk time
The battery gets charged through a 15W fast charger.
The phone supports dual sim cards with up to 4G network support. It is also capable of switching internet bands. The Bluetooth 5.0 on the phone can be used for wireless pairing with other devices. Similarly, the phone uses a USB Type-C 2.0 cable for charging and wired pairing.
For audio, Samsung Galaxy A04s has speakers but does not have stereo support and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The prices of Samsung Galaxy A04s in Nepal are Rs 19,999 for 4/64GB and Rs 21,999 for 4/128GB variants.
