Kathmandu, June 12
The Development Committee of Parliament has directed the government to establish at least one bank in each of the newly established local levels within next two months.
A meeting of the Committee held today decided to issue the directive as banks would be necessary to make the functions of local levels more effective and to manage their financial transactions.
The government, the Ministry of Finance and the Nepal Rastra Bank have been directed to make the arrangement.
