Kathmandu, July 4
Minister for Transport and Physical Infrastructure Ragubir Mahaset says that the government is planning to establish its own construction company in the near future.
Speaking at the Development and Technology Committee meeting Mahaset said that the government decided to establish its own construction company construction owing to delays in construction of various public projects.
“If things go as planned, the company will be formed within the next week,” added Mahaseth. Mahaseth further promised to transform Kathmandu within the next year. “We have been working hard to make Kathmandu a better place. The government has already initiated its plan to make underpasses in various areas of Kathmandu,” he added.
Minister Mahaseth informed that the government was spending its own money to build a covered underpass in Koteshwor. He further added that the government in order to curb down traffic was also looking into build underpasses and flyovers in areas like Gaushala, Maharajgunj, Chabahil and Thapathali.
