Kathmandu, November 22
The government has introduced a new plan to make sure that all public transportation vehicles and highways are clean during the Visit Nepal Year 2020.
As per the plan, the government issued a circular to all hotels and motels operating along major highways of the country to place containers to dispose of the garbage generated by the passengers.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has also requested concerned local governments, via the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, to monitor if the directive is effectively implemented.
Likewise, the local governments have been told to make sure that the arrival and departure points of the vehicles also have tools and places to dispose of the waste.
