Kathmandu, June 12
A German national was apprehended at Tribhuvan International Airport with over 6 kg of hashish on Monday morning.
Police arrested Paul Rist, 63, from the airport. He was on his way to Stuttgart via a Turkish Airlines flight.
Rist concealed the drug inside his suitcase by wrapping it in carbon paper. The illegal drug was discovered during a routine inspection conducted by the airport police.
The police handed over Rist and the seized hashish to the Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation and legal action.
Further investigations are ongoing.
