Kathmandu, November 17
Police on Friday say they have arrested two more suspects of the murder of construction entrepreneur Sharad Kumar Gauchan last month.
Earlier this week, five persons including the shooter Rajeev Syangtan were arrested in connection with the case.
DIG Ganesh KC says Basanta Thebe and Dhanaraj Yonghang were arrested from Kapan of Kathmandu today. Police also seized two pistols and 10 rounds of bullets from their possession.
The alleged mastermind Samir Man Basnet and seven others are still absconding, according to police.
Police have concluded that Basnet plotted the murder after Gauchan denied giving him the money he wanted to extort.
Gauchan was murdered in Naya Baneshwor of Kathmandu on October 9.
Responding to demands of the family and construction fraternity, the government has already decided to declare him a martyr.
