A Turkish Airlines aircraft caught fire while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport. The fire was extinguished using fire trucks.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 on Monday morning. The plane, which had arrived from Istanbul, was observed to have a fire in its wheels (landing gear) during the landing process.
Airport security sources reported that fire trucks were immediately deployed and the fire was put out.
Passengers were evacuated through the emergency exits.
All passengers are safe. Airport sources stated that an investigation into the cause of the fire and other technical details is currently underway.
