Kathmandu, August 13
Police have arrested Iltaf Hussein Ansari, a notorious fake currency smuggling suspect, in Parsa of southern Nepal.
Recently, Ansari was also connected with the smuggling of 15 kg counterfeit gold. His involvement in the case was detected as the alleged smugglers already arrested in connection with the case had used his vehicle (Ba 6 Cha 5511).
Police, however, had been searching for him since a long ago. He was identified as a mastermind of various current smuggling cases in the past few decades. He has close ties with another notorious smuggler, Yunus Ansari.
A permanent resident of Harpur, Prastokha-2 of Bara, Ansari generally lives in Birgunj of Parsa. He operates a fuel station there.
