Kathmandu, May 10
The Election Commission has summoned top leaders of major political parties to its office after some violent clashes were reported during electioneering in various parts of the country.
Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav informed Onlinekhabar that a meeting would be held at the Commission at 4 pm today.
Yadav said the Commission would urge the leaders to prevent clashes between and among parties and make an environment for free and fair elections.
Of late, clashes have been reported from Dolakha, Rukum, Salyan and Gorkha districts. One person has already died in a clash in Dolakha last night.
