Diffusion notice issued against Amala Roka, the defendant in the 61 kg gold case

Kathmandu, February 7

International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has issued a diffusion notice against Amala Roka, the 61 kg gold case defendant.

Based on the recommendation made by the National Central Bureau (NCB) Kathmandu, Interpol has issued a diffusion notice against the arrest, CIB spokesperson Navraj Adhikari said.

Roka is the wife of Dawa Chiring, a Belgian citizen accused of being involved in the gold scandal. Hotel Vienna in Thamel is registered in her name.

On July 18, the Department of Revenue Investigation confiscated 61 kg of gold that had passed the customs revenue check at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

After 19 days, the department submitted the file to CIB for field investigation.
