Dhading youth killed in gang fight

A young man died when two gangs got engaged in a fight in Darkha, Khaniyabas rural municipality of Dhading district, on Tuesday evening.

The victim has been identified as Santa Bahadur Tamang, 25, from Khaniyabas-4. It has been learned that Tamang was a murder convict and he had already completed his sentence.

Another man sustained critical injuries in the fight. Rabin Tamang is currently undergoing treatment at Kathmandu-based Grande International Hospital.

Police say the fight had ensued after a misunderstanding with the referee of a football match organised by Gurang Youth Club in Darkha.

Police have arrested Roshan Tamang and Ram Tamang for their alleged involvement in the murder. Further investigation is underway.
