Deuba, Oli visit Dahal to express condolences over son’s death

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Monday visited CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal who is mourning his only son’s death.

Prakash Dahal had died of sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 36 on Sunday. He was cremated at the Pashupati Aryaghat yesterday itself.

Though various leaders had paid final tributes to Prakash and condolences to the family yesterday itself, Deuba and Dahal were not in Kathmandu owing to their election campaigns.

The two top leaders arrived in Kathmandu today and went to Dahal’s residence in Baluwatar to offer condolences.

Oli was also accompanied by his party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Meanwhile, President Bidya Devi Bhandari also went to Lazimpat to visit former Prime Minister Dahal today.
