Kailali, March 1
Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated that he and his party were committed to supporting the family of Nirmala Pant, the 13-year-old girl who was murdered after rape in July last year.
Deuba says the fight that the family is waging is not only the family’s responsibility, but everyone believing in democracy should take part in it.
Meeting the mother and the sister of the victim in Kanchanpur, the main opposition leader in Parliament said he and his party would support efforts being made to find out the culprit.
Deuba was in Kanchanpur in order to inaugurate an event to be hosted by the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
