Hundreds of people have staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on Monday afternoon, demanding monarchy get reinstated.

For the past few weeks, similar demonstrations are occurring in major other cities outside Kathmandu also.

The demonstrators staged a rally from Maitighar Mandala to Naya Baneshwar this afternoon. A group named Rastriya Shakti Nepal Valley Movement Mobilisation Committee had coordinated the demonstration.

They held the national flag and placards with pictures of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the first king of modern Nepal, and chanted slogans like “Raja aau, desh bachau” (King, please come back and save the country).
