
Today marks Democracy Day in Nepal. Marking the day, a special programme was held at the Tundhikhel.
At the event organised by the National Democracy Day Main Ceremony Committee, a march past, dance performances, and musical performances were presented.

The special ceremony held Thursday morning at the Military Stage in Tundikhel was attended by President Ramchandra Paudel along with other high-ranking government officials. President Paudel participated in the ceremony with First Lady Sabita Paudel. The army paid a salute in his honour during the event.

The ceremony was also attended by Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal, senior government officials, and distinguished personalities from various sectors of society.

Today has been declared a public holiday on the occasion of the day.
