Demanding budget, ministers Thapa and Aryal submit project lists to NPC

Kathmandu, May 6

After Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, it has been found that two ministers have also put undue pressure on the National Planning Commission demanding that the government allocate budget to projects of their constituencies.

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal and Minister for Children, Women and Senior Citizens Tham Maya Thapa submitted lists of 21 and 17 projects respectively, according to sources.

In her letter, Thapa has also mentioned the desired budget amount for each of the projects.

Most projects that Aryal listed are related to infrastructure development.

Aryal and Thapa represent Syangja and Myagdi districts in Gandaki Province respectively in the House of Representatives.
